A construct is an [[SRD:Animated Object|animated object]] or artificially constructed creature.&lt;br /&gt;

A construct has the following features.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
* 10-sided [[SRD:Hit Dice (Creature Statistic)|Hit Dice]].&lt;br /&gt;
* [[SRD:Base Attack Bonus|Base attack bonus]] equal to 3/4 total [[SRD:Hit Dice (Creature Statistic)|Hit Dice]] (as [[SRD:Cleric|cleric]]).&lt;br /&gt;
* No good [[SRD:Saving Throw|saving throws]].&lt;br /&gt;
* [[SRD:Skill Descriptions|Skill points]] equal to (2 + [[SRD:Intelligence|Int]] modifier, minimum 1) per [[SRD:Hit Dice (Creature Statistic)|Hit Die]], with quadruple [[SRD:Skill Points|skill points]] for the first [[SRD:Hit Dice (Creature Statistic)|Hit Die]], if the construct has an [[SRD:Intelligence|Intelligence]] score. However, most constructs are mindless and gain no [[SRD:Skill Points|skill points]] or [[SRD:Feats|feats]].&lt;br /&gt;

======Traits======&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
A construct possesses the following traits (unless otherwise noted in a creature’s entry).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
* No [[SRD:Constitution|Constitution]] score.&lt;br /&gt;
* [[SRD:Low-Light Vision|Low-light vision]].&lt;br /&gt;
* [[SRD:Darkvision|Darkvision]] out to 60 feet.&lt;br /&gt;
* Immunity to all [[SRD:Mind-Affecting Effect|mind-affecting]] effects ([[SRD:Charm Subschool|charms]], [[SRD:Compulsion Subschool|compulsions]], [[SRD:Phantasm Subschool|phantasms]], [[SRD:Pattern Subschool|patterns]], and morale effects).&lt;br /&gt;
* Immunity to [[SRD:Poison|poison]], sleep effects, [[SRD:Paralyzed|paralysis]], [[SRD:Stunned|stunning]], [[SRD:Disease|disease]], [[SRD:Death Effect|death effects]], and [[SRD:Necromancy School|necromancy effects]].&lt;br /&gt;
* Cannot heal damage on their own, but often can be repaired by exposing them to a certain kind of effect (see the creature’s description for details) or through the use of the [[SRD:Craft Construct|Craft Construct]] [[SRD:Feats|feat]]. A construct with the [[SRD:Fast Healing|fast healing]] special quality still benefits from that quality.&lt;br /&gt;
* Not subject to [[SRD:Critical Hit|critical hits]], [[SRD:Nonlethal Damage|nonlethal damage]], [[SRD:Ability Score Loss|ability damage, ability drain]], [[SRD:Fatigued|fatigue]], [[SRD:Exhausted|exhaustion]], or [[SRD:Energy Drain, Negative Levels, and Level Loss|energy drain]].&lt;br /&gt;
* Immunity to any effect that requires a [[SRD:Saving Throw|Fortitude]] save (unless the effect also works on objects, or is harmless).&lt;br /&gt;
* Not at risk of death from massive damage. Immediately destroyed when reduced to 0 [[SRD:Hit Points|hit points]] or less.&lt;br /&gt;
* Since it was never alive, a construct cannot be [[SRD:Raise Dead|raised]] or [[SRD:Resurrection|resurrected]].&lt;br /&gt;
* Because its body is a mass of unliving matter, a construct is hard to destroy. It gains bonus [[SRD:Hit Points|hit points]] based on size, as shown on the following table.&lt;br /&gt;
