===Devil===

Devils are [[SRD:Fiend|fiends]] from [[SRD:Lawful Evil|lawful evil]]-aligned planes.

Many devils are surrounded by a [[SRD:Fear Aura|fear aura]], which they use to break up powerful groups and defeat opponents piecemeal. Devils with [[SRD:Spell-Like Ability|spell-like abilities]] use their [[SRD:Illusion School|illusion]] abilities to delude and [[SRD:Confused|confuse]] foes as much as possible. A favorite trick is to create illusory reinforcements; enemies can never be entirely sure if a threat is only a figment or real summoned devils joining the fray.

======Devil Traits======

Most devils possesses the following traits (unless otherwise noted in a creature’s entry).

* Immunity to [[SRD:Fire Effect|fire]] and [[SRD:Poisons|poison]].
* [[SRD:Resistance to Energy|Resistance]] to [[SRD:Acid Effect|acid]] 10 and [[SRD:Cold Effect|cold]] 10.
* See in Darkness ([[SRD:Su|Su]]): Some devils can see perfectly in darkness of any kind, even that created by a ''[[SRD:Deeper Darkness|deeper darkness]]'' spell.
* ''[[SRD:Summon|Summon]]'' ([[SRD:Sp|Sp]]): Some devils share the ability to summon others of their kind (the success chance and type of devils summoned are noted in each monster description).
