Tenets

<toggledisplay showtext="Show tenets" hidetext="Hide tenets"> Story elements:

  • 'Bond-esque' espionage
  • European setting
  • 1980s
  • Villains are Spanish
  • A member of the British Royal family is under threat
  • The assassination attempt by P.A.C.E. is to happen in only 24 hours!
  • PACE telegraphed its actions with a manifesto published in the Daily Mail
  • There is a bomb in a baby carriage
  • Technology is clever but realistic. Mid-to-low strength gadgets.
  • MI6's resources are currently invested in other important operations, and 003's support is limited.

Rules gimmicks:

  • No interrupts in mid-narration
  • If a player doesn't act on his turn for a day, the next player can take the turn for free, or any other player can take it for 1 coin
  • The targeted royal is never to be explicitly identified
  • Anyone can attach a good and appropriate picture to a component for 1 coin, like a trait. It acts as a proper name, aiding a character in any complication (since a portrait signifies character's importance to the story)
  • To refine a trait in a logical and consistent way ("wears coat" - "wears black coat", "bottle of water" - "empty bottle", etc.) costs 1 coin.
